Walsall FC

I was offered the chance to cover Walsall’s youth team in October 2014 and finished in May 2016.

During the 2014/15 season I produced a match report and quotes piece for publication on the club’s website as well as their match day programme, The Saddler.

I also reported on an England under-18 fixture at the Banks’s Stadium on behalf of the club.

I wanted to progress my role further for the 2015/16 campaign so we decided that I would produce a live Twitter feed from the youth team’s matches to keep fans updated. This proved to be a huge success with each tweet reaching in excess of 3000 people.

I also attended reserve matches to conduct exclusive interviews with first team players to be used on the website, while also attending some first team matches and press conferences.
